Madison Spahn, Lead Vocals & Keyboard, is a classically trained graduate of Duke University's music performance program, where she was involved in numerous musical productions and recognized for her compositions. Years of vocal and piano training have made Madi a truly accomplished artist and performer, with a powerful voice and versatile in all genres. Madi has been a featured professional soloist in many classical roles both locally and in Boston, where she completed her graduate degree in Vocal Performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. In the fall of 2022, Madi will start working on her PHD in Music History at the City College of New York.
Reed Spahn, Lead Guitar/backing vocals, is a 20-year old Junior at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. A versatile musician, Reed plays everything from blues, to rock, metal, alternative and more. A talented emerging artist, Reed writes and records his own music, laying tracks from different instruments, including drums, keyboard and bass guitar. Reed's lightning speed guitar solos and energizing performances have amazed audiences and become the cornerstone of the Steel Relic sound. As an Ambassador for JDRF, Reed encourages all with Type 1 Diabetes to live their dreams.
Simon Via, , bassist, is a graduate of Full Sail University with a degree in Music Business. Simon also played alto sax in the highly acclaimed Kiltie Band while a student at Riverview high school. Simon enjoys a wide variety of music from smooth jazz to punk rock and even some hip hop. His talents link the harmonies of the Steel Relic songs with his bass grooves to form the backbone of the Steel Relic sound. Simon’s charisma is a positive energy force driving the band and bringing pure fun to the audience.
Kei Bland, Drums, joined Steel Relic in December of 2017. Kei has been playing the drums since he could hold the sticks and is a multi-talented instrumentalist and songwriter. He's had the opportunity to play with numerous famous musicians, playing with Avenging Benji for their European tour, as well as studying Music Business, Production, Engineering & Artist Management at Berklee. Kei aims to help others through the power of music and always enjoys life to its fullest – bringing his incredible joy for music to every performance. He has been a professional member of the American Federation of Musicians since 2011 and is proudly endorsed by several companies.
